North-South Corridor Area:

17 Avenue SE:

Traffic Pattern Changes:

• Approved 24-hour dirt work near the 17 Avenue area is scheduled to be completed the week of February 20, 2012 . Please note that some noise disturbances may occur. We apologize for this inconvenience.
• Traffic was switched onto a temporary detour in November 2011.  Two-way traffic on 17 Avenue SE will be maintained at all times.
• Topsoil, vegetation clearing, earthworks and road preparation work underway on the south side of 17 Avenue SE.
• Earthworks and paving north of 17 Avenue SE are now underway.  
• Piling work to continue through Winter 2012.
• Substructure work to begin in Summer 2012, with superstructure construction, including girder installations, scheduled for Summer 2012.

Peigan Trail SE:

Traffic Pattern Changes:

• No new traffic pattern changes at this time.
• Grading and substructure concrete work largely completed.
• Earthworks underway and to continue in Spring 2012 to build the interchange.
• MSE wall installation at CN Crossing underway.
• No structural work anticipated in this area until Winter/Spring 2012. 
• Girder installation and bridge deck construction to begin in Summer 2012.
• 50 Avenue is permanently closed between 68 Street SE and 84 Street SE for road realignment work. 

61 Avenue SE:

Traffic Pattern Changes:

• No traffic pattern changes at this time.
• Earthworks preparation has been completed at 61 Ave SE north of Glenmore Trail SE, south of 50 Avenue SE.
• Grading and paving in this area to continue throughout 2012.
• Utility work, foundation and bridge structure work has begun.
• MSE walls, girder installation and bridge deck construction to begin in mid-2012.
  

Glenmore Trail SE:

Traffic Pattern Changes:

• Traffic was shifted onto a temporary detour on Glenmore Trail and 84 Street SE. Two-way traffic on Glenmore Trail and 84 Street SE will be maintained at all times. Motorists are anticipated to use this detour until the Fall of 2012.
• Roadwork, utilities and earthworks ongoing, with topsoil stripping underway north and south of Glenmore Trail SE and north of 106 Ave SE within TUC.
• Piling works have been largely completed.
• Substructure work to commence in Spring 2012, with structure works continuing in mid-2012.
• Structural work over the W.H. Canal is also underway through 2012.

114 Avenue SE:

Traffic Pattern Changes:

• No traffic pattern changes at this time.
• Topsoil stripping and earthworks to continue throughout Spring 2012.  
• Utilities construction anticipated to be completed in Spring 2012.
• Substructure and superstructure work, including girder installations, to begin in Spring 2012.
  

130 Avenue SE:

• No significant construction activity anticipated until August 2012.
• This is grading work is for a future interchange to be built at this location. The timing for this interchange is not yet known and will be dependant upon future development activity adjacent to SE Stoney Trail.
